I finally gave in and Hunter tried cereal this past Friday. It wasn't a smashing success, but we're getting there. They say one of the signs that they are ready for "food" is if they seem interested in you eating, which he is, so we decided not to put it off any longer. He's had it a few more times since, but it's funny how differently I approach things with Hunter as baby 2... definitely a lot less "by the book." I wish we had the perspective and experience of the second child with the first child! Just a warning, there is some "non-swallowing" in the video!
Yummy, rice paste! Braden had fun feeding Hunter.
Hunter loves playing the drums!
He's such a snuggler. He loves to grab a hold of my hair at the base of my neck with his right hand and just squeeze me as tight as he can. He also likes to try to eat my face, which I call kissing. Of course I love it. Anthony and I both said we wish we could just keep him right at this age and not let him grow up!

Sporting his Patriots gear and watching the game with Daddy... football season has arrived.

Trying out the big boy swing in the backyard! I think he's going to like it like his brother!

Braden and Daddy planted some seeds as a science experiment! The basil has sprouted.

Making apple dumplings with Mimi. We are very glad that Mimi has come for a visit!

Finger painting with his new friend Reagan.

Practicing his swing. He loves to pretend to throw the baseball.

His new fun place to hang out. Yes, this was Anthony's doing and he is right below him... a reason to get the kitchen remodeled sooner than later!

His cool fishing pool balloon art. He's been having fun catching fish with this! And the ugly tile is even more of reason for the needed kitchen remodel!
I'm going to try to start writing down some of the cute things that Braden says. There was something the other day that I've already forgotten... Today I peeked in on him at 5:30 because he had already been napping for 4 hours and we were ready for dinner. There wasn't a sound in the dark room so I started to walk away. Then I hear his little voice say "I hear the ice cream truck, Mommy." I guess that's how he wanted to tell me he knew I was there checking on him! Unfortunately for you all, I won't be sharing the funny line he said while sitting on the potty before bath though!
