Brothers...

The boys are just starting to get to the age where they can actually "play" together. I'm really looking forward to that!

We are having a backyard battle... and it's not between Braden and Hunter! There are 2 hummingbirds fighting over our feeder. They are viscous and they certainly aren't afraid of us!

The fun of 3-year old soccer games!

Team Lightening had their first game today! 3-year old soccer... oh my! So glad Dave and Andrea are coaching. It was fun to watch and the kids were adorable in their little uniforms (although Kyndal was not impressed with gray)! Took him awhile to get warmed up to the idea, he and Kyndal enjoyed playing around  and he did make a couple of runs on goal! Overall a positive first game... and I even think we won! I'll try to post a little live-action, video footage, too!

18-months and swim lessons

It's hard to believe, but Hunter is already 18-months old. This little guy is such a blessing. Anthony and I have both said how much we love this age... he's like a little sponge. He loves trains, swinging, his bear and thumb, copying his brother's every action, exploring and all things adventure. He also loves giving kisses and pointing out his boo-boos for whatever sympathy he can possibly get! He's not talking as much as Braden at this point, but he knows how to get his point across. His favorite word is still "uh-oh" and he uses it as his primary means of communication! Having 2 kids is definitely a ton more work, but worth every bit of it!

We seemed to have misplaced the form from the doctor's visit with his measurements (you can tell he's a second child!). But I remember the percentages.

Weight - somewhere around 29lbs (85%)

Height - 95%

Head - 90%

The boys started swim lessons this week. Summer has definitely ended here (it went from 100 to 60 in 2 days), so no more time in our pool. We'll see how long we last because the water was so cold the first night that both of them spent the whole time shivering! Braden can wait until next summer to put his head underwater I guess!

Ohio

The boys and I had a very nice visit with my parents in Ohio. I had a meeting in Pittsburgh, so it allowed us to go a little early for a visit. Plus I got to see some dear college friends while in Pitt. I made a Smilebox with all the pics, but pulled some out to highlight the trip. It was my first time flying solo with the boys. They really did great both ways... although I'm glad it's not a regular occurrence. The Go-Go Babiez, lots of snacks, a designated seat for Hunter and a portable DVD player saved the day! Braden didn't want to go home but we were all very glad to see Daddy at the airport when we did get home!

It was my Grandmother's 88th birthday.

We got together with uncles, aunts and cousins that we don't get to see much. Lots of cute kids around!

The boys enjoyed being out in the Fall weather and we took full advantage when it wasn't raining!

Of course we made lots of s'mores.

We loved seeing Tate again!

We spent a day in Amish Country.

And we also met Obie the Tiger at the Massillon football game!

First Day of Soccer and Swimming in October!

Braden had his first soccer practice! Go Team Lightning! We love that Toby's mom and dad are Coach Dave and Coach Andrea and that Kyndal is on the team. Should be fun! Not sure what 3-year old soccer games will look like, but it should be entertaining.

Braden and Kyndal got in trouble for tackling each other and hugging during practice. They didn't get in trouble for holding hands during practice though!

Kemper and Hunter had a lot of fun, too! They are going to like soccer practice as much as the big kids!

We thought our last dip in the pool would have been before our trip to Ohio. But after a trip to the Zoo this morning, a nice dip in the pool felt great! So it is possible to swim in an unheated, outdoor pool on October 1st in Arizona! As Braden said in the video... "it's chilly!"

I'll get around to posting pics from our time in Ohio one of these days!
