Beets

We got some beets at the Farmer's Market and Braden had some today... I figured why ruin a shirt or bib!

Trains and things.

We went to the Train Park (where Braden and Kyndal are having their birthday party) on Friday. It's a fun place and they have train you can ride around the park. We took Braden for his first ride. He liked it and looked a lot like the conductor with his hat! There is even a tunnel that you go through.

When we got to the Park we noticed a lot of white tents and loud music. It looked like a big party and it ended up being for one of Shaqueille O'neil's kids. You should have seen it, it looked like an amusement park... every bouncy thing imaginable, pony rides, rock climb wall, face painting, the list goes on. I was most interested to see what was in the cool party favor bag that everyone was getting! So it made our trip to the Train Park all the more exciting and yes, we did she Shaq and his crazy car. He was stylin' in his fedora. Although we won't have quite as many attractions (or any actually) at Braden and Kyndal's party, I'm sure they'll enjoy it just as much!





We rode our bikes to the Scottsdale Farmer's Market on Saturday. It's not far from our house and is a cute little market. I love the fact that the bike trailer has great storage for our purchases!




Anthony got the new shelves put together for Braden's playroom. Too bad it's the last room he ever chooses to crawl to on his own! And I have to say he's become the fastest little crawler I've ever seen! He reminds us of the lizards that crawl around on the walls and trees and stuff out here. He's so cute!

Braden's First Haircut!

I finally gave in and we took Braden for his first haircut. It was getting long around the ears so I conceded to the fact that it was time. He did great. That is until Christa (his stylist!) jabbed him in the back of the neck with the scissors! It was pretty much downhill from there... and I don't blame him! It looks cute, but those baby haircuts are dangerous things! We are glad that he is blessed with a nice, thick head of hair!

He kept checking Christa out to see what she was doing to him!

Our neighbors came over for Easter dinner and we had an egg hunt for Evan before church. Evan is a little miracle as he survived a near drowning in his backyard pool.

Braden loves going shopping (he's really the only one in the family!). He thinks it's a blast to go up and down the aisles in stores like TJ Maxx.

Braden's New Cousin!

Anthony's brother Andrew (they're twins in case you didn't know) and his wife Lindsay have been in the process of adopting for some time now. Last year they found out that they would become the parents of a little girl from Mumbai, India and they are naming her Leah. We were all very excited to find out this past week that Andrew and Lindsay have been granted guardianship of Leah and soon will be going to pick her up! We are looking forward to meeting her when we go to Maine in July. And it will also be Braden's first chance to meet the rest of Anthony's family, too (except his Grammy of course, she's been out to visit!).

Braden loves crawling and has gotten really fast at it... especially if he sees something he knows he only has a limited opportunity to get before it gets moved out of his reach! He also loves standing on the hearth of the fireplace and shaking the gate we put up. He does a good job climbing down off of it, too. The other pics shows one of him getting ready to take a "sideways bite" which is another fun thing at the moment and hanging out with Mommy.

Anthony and I went out to dinner and a movie last night (the first one we've seen in a theatre since we saw Mamma Mia last summer... it has to be something we really want to see these days!). I'm only sharing because I have to brag about my husband. We finished our dinner and they brought us a dessert sample plate because they knew we were there for my birthday. They also brought a present. I told Anthony that it was really cool that Cowboy Ciao gave all their customers who celebrate their birthday there a present and was intrigued to find out what in the world it could have been. Well, it ends up that Anthony got me a present and had taken it to the restaurant earlier that day and told them to bring it to me after dinner! It was very sweet of him and also a great gift because it was a purse I had admired at a store weeks earlier! I'm a very lucky girl to have him for my husband and for many more reasons then getting a nice purse.
