I've been negligent at posting to the blog lately. No excuses... but we were in Denver for a few days and lots of the pictures are on my Mom's camera. Here's a video of him talking until I get a chance to get some pics up. He's glad to have his Exersaucer back.

Picture Fun

Valentine's dinner when you have a baby... you wouldn't guess it, but this restaurant was fully booked for the remainder of the evening. Too bad we didn't get the early bird special! We had a great time and all enjoyed our dinner.

We attended a volunteer project KaBoom put on in partnership with the NBA All-Star game that was here in Phx. They built a really cool playground at a park in west Phoenix. It reminded me of my AmeriCorps days.

Braden has fun going shopping. He usually goes with the flow and is happy to try new things... like riding in boxes with Poppa and having his bottle in the comfy chairs at Whole Foods!

Our Tough Little Boy (Braden's First Boo-Boo)

Braden can be so serious sometimes. He's a very thoughtful little boy. It makes it all the more fun when he laughs and smiles because you know it's heartfelt.



Braden is borrowing Kyndal's bouncy chair. We traded out so the kids could have a change. He likes the bouncy chair, but not as much as his Exersaucer. His favorite thing about the Exersaucer is that he could swivel around and look in all different directions. He likes to be able to keep tabs on everything going on around him!

Braden likes to have books read to him. Daddy's reading to him before he goes to bed. He's such a good little sleeper. We are very blessed in that regard. We hope he keeps it up!

Braden enjoys this giraffe. It can really get him laughing. This picture also leads to the story of his first boo-boo. As I've mentioned, all Braden wants to do is stand-up these days. Well, he also takes steps and moves from object to object. Sometimes he gets a little too sure of himself and the other night he was standing in this exact location. He grabbed a toy and then turned to try to walk somewhere and fell over face first. Unfortunately he landed on another toy and cut open his chin. It was our first experience with blood and was temporarily rather traumatic for all of us. But he is a tough little guy and didn't cry too long. We wondered if it might make him more cautious about moving around, but that hasn't happened!

Anthony, JJ and I got to get dressed up and go to an event where my work purchased a table. We had a great time and Poppa did a great time babysitting!

I'm always checking in on things.

Braden's favorite thing in life (except his Mommy, of course!) continues to be pulling himself up. If he could grab our hands and pull himself to a standing position every waking minute of the day, I think he would be a happy boy. He pulls himself up by himself on the ottoman at my parents' condo, but hasn't mastered that at our house yet. He does give us a break these days and will stand while holding just one hand. At first, he HAD to have both hands, and the right hands, too. Otherwise he would push the one he didn't want away and get the "right" one. It's a fun game for him and for us. However, it doesn't do much for his crawling ability! Maybe that explains why I have less pictures lately... I don't have an extra hand for the camera!

Braden had a fun time watching the Superbowl with his friends Kyndal and Bella. All three kids were wondering what their crazy parents were doing after Larry Fitzgerald ran for that awesome touchdown. Unfortunately the good guys lost and the "punch guys when they are laying on the ground" Steelers somehow won. It was too bad, but it was fun here in Arizona with the excitement of the Cardinals actually making it to the Superbowl.

My brother and sister-in-law sent us this cute scrapbook when Braden was born. Scrapbooking is not my thing... but thankfully it is my Mom's! She put together an awesome memory book of Braden's life up to this point. It's already fun to "look back" at the pictures of Braden when he was new. He is such a good, little boy. He has honestly been so easy and such a blessing. I can't imagine life without him! So much fun!

Braden got a fun new hat that he likes wearing. He also spent some time hanging out in his Jay-Jay the Jetplane bag!
