School

Well, we can't avoid it any longer... as much as I would like to. :)

Braden had his Kindergarten Orientation a couple of Saturday's ago! 

His new school staring in August!

The kids went right into the classrooms and started working away! We feel very blessed that he'll have the opportunity to attend this school and look forward to the adventures ahead. 

We did love SCA for preK. He had an open house last week and it reinforced how great of an experience he had there for the last 2-years. The teacher's aide came up to Anthony and I and told us how much she loves Braden and a few other super sweet things about him. We're proud of him. And also wonder why he's not such a perfect angel at home! :)

And Hunter got to visit his classroom because he'll be starting preK in the fall! He's very excited to be an SCAEagle (it's usually pronounced as one word). It will be a big adjustment for all of us for Hunter to start school. I hope SCA is ready for him!!!

Weekend Getaway.

We decided to take advantage of my work trip to Clarkdale so the whole family packed in and we headed north. While I was in my meetings on Friday, the boys went and fished at Mingus Lake near Jerome. They caught 2 trout, so the weekend was off to a good start! We then headed east to Christopher Creek for the rest of the weekend.

We took a little hike in Payson on the way.

And then we headed to Woods Canyon Lake Saturday morning!

We then decided to try a new lake called Bear Canyon Lake. We had to hike down to the lake.

It was beautiful and no one was around! 

Braden stripped down to his underwear and actually got in the lake while Hunter and I tried to stay warm!  

The kids loved the loft at the "lodge" They were much more impressed with the lodging than I was... just adding the word lodge to a place doesn't make it rustic and nice! 

We did see some real, live elk on the way up, but they didn't pose as nicely for a picture. 

This kid will fish for hours and that smile shows how much he loves it!

I'll spend a weekend away with these 3 any day!

T-ball!

Another Tball season has come and gone. We had a lot of fun this season. It was a great group of kids and parents. Anthony had fun coaching with Joe and Josh. And most importantly, Braden loves it!

Out to dinner after the last game. I think the kids like each other. And just as importantly, we also like the parents! :)

I've realized that taking pictures on my phone is part of the reason I don't update the blog as often. It's not as easy as just downloading them from my camera. 

 Hunter gets this (size 2) Elmo costume out of his closest and squeezes into it! Oh my...

We stopped by to see Nicole at work and got to go for a ride on the truck.

Braden gave some orders.

We spent Good Friday at the Farm at South Mountain with the Minnick's. It was a beautiful place to spend a beautiful day! 

No, this is not Hunter's party although you can't tell from the picture. It's Owen's (the boy with the green ball looking annoyed at Hunter). After the song, Hunter decided to lick the cake. We'll see if he gets invited next year! 

My Mom got to go to one of our events with us again this year! 

 We went to the Barrett-Jackson car auction for the first time and the boys loved that.

"Celebrate Brother's Day!" Braden made up this day one night and then decided to make breakfast in bed for his brother the next morning. Gotta love when they like each other!

Braden likes to make his own lunch. This was his lunch one day after tball - almond butter and honey, peppers, apples and cheese. 

Oh yeah, and I turned 40! Had a great evening with great friends and feel the same as I felt the day before. My life is truly blessed and I look forward to the years ahead.

Especially with this guy by my side.

The boys did the Pinewood Derby for the first time this year. They enjoyed making their cars with Daddy. And they did pretty good on raceday too! Especially for the first time.

We had the LaCopo's and Rossman's over for Easter brunch and the kids waited (somewhat) patiently to look for eggs.

Hunter's Bday!

I figured I should get pics from Hunter's birthday posted before we get to Braden's birthday! He had a fun day celebrating with friends and family. He had his well visit and he's still well above average. He's actually 4" taller than the average 4 year-old! Trains were the theme of the big day!
