Harmon's in Arizona: Cali

We were able to get to California for a long weekend. We love going after Labor Day... everyone's back in school and the weather is still great! We stayed in Del Mar this time which is a much better fit for us than Mission Beach (where we were last year). Lots of beach time and Legoland!

The boys are much bigger fans of sand than I am!

There is a train that goes right along the beach so we sat and watched for it.

And then got an up close view! It was fun to watch it from the beach, too.

Saving Fun Town from a fire.

Legoland is getting ready for Halloween. There were some pretty amazing Lego creations.

I skipped the "get wet" rides, but the boys loved them.

The gigantic pirate water playground was a hit, too!

We didn't get to capture any of our roller coaster riding. That was everyone's favorite. And since it was so uncrowded, we got to just stay on some of the roller coasters and keep riding. The second weekend in September is a perfect time to go to Legoland!

On Saturday the boys toured the USS Midway while I went to my meeting. A big ship in the ocean with airplanes, helicopters and food. Perfect.

The boys got airplanes like they saw on the ship. This brings to about 100 the number of airplanes in the Harmon household.

I got a chance to see one of my favorite mining friends, Nancy. Nancy works for Caterpillar. We need to start increasing the number of cool, Cat mining equipment in our house to equal out with the airplanes! One parental career definitely outpaces the other in that regard! :)
