Pic - 37-weeks
At my appointment on Thursday, the doctor decided she is going to induce me on May 27th. That's the Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend. She's currently out of town in South Carolina on vacation, so I wonder if it might have been a bit earlier if that wasn't the case! And she told me to get another ultrasound to get a better estimate of the babies weight because when she felt my stomach she just said "big, big, big." The week before when I was there she felt him and thought he was around 8lbs... she didn't give a weight estimate this time, but did tell me to be prepared to push out a 9lb baby!! He must have had a pretty major growth spurt this last week because the ultrasound estimated him at 10lbs! So, my doctor wanted that info faxed to her home so she would have it when she gets home from vacation. We can be called into the hospital anytime after midnight on Monday night for the induction on Tuesday. I do have to say it's a bit scary to think about... especially knowing that he's so big. But the doctor knows me and what's happening, so that gives us comfort.
It's a beautiful weekend here. It actually rained a few days and is in the low 80's. We are taking full advantage of the weekend! Our next post should be an update on the arrival of our little guy!
