Sand does not, in fact, digest very well.
Hiking is still a workout... even in paradise!

And so are sea turtles. Especially when a family lives right outside your house!
Exploring is even more fun in Hawaii.
And whales are amazing.
So we've been enjoying our time here on the Big Island. Pololu Valley is a gorgeous hike to a black sand beach on the north shore of the island. On our drive there and back we saw about 20 whales playing in the water. Truly amazing. The tide is rather high and it's been interesting because a couple of the beaches that we went to when we were here last year are literally gone or much smaller. Braden does not really like waves. Hunter loves them.
