Most of you know that we were able to travel to Tanzania two years ago this September and meet our sponsored child and his family. It was a life changing trip... in more ways then one! Our church continues to work with the families in the village of Mairowa and it is so awesome to be able to keep this connection and to keep up with Samweli's life. He will be finishing his first year of school in the school that our church built. Attending this school that provides a quality education truly has the opportunity to alter his life for the positive. A team will be going in June and they are taking a picture of all the sponsors to their sponsored kids along with a pack of sunflower seeds! We've had pictures of them forever and now they get to see the families who allow them the chance for a regular meal and education. And most importantly, to hear the message of hope in Jesus. All of this to say that this is our family picture that will be going to Braden's "brother" Samweli and his family in Tanzania. We can't wait to go visit him again! By the way, the other family member in the picture is Braden's giraffe named Sam (after Samweli of course!).

that is so awesome- our friend Gwyn also was able to meet her sponsored child this year- we would love to meet ours, but for now letters will have to suffice. You should also send the picture of Anthony and yourself with Samweli from your last trip- I bet that picture would mean the world to him- how many kids get to have pictures with their sponsored family? :)
