All days off are great, but we particularly love Labor Day. We generally stay at home relaxing and let everyone else do the traveling. Anthony likes it because it means football is starting. I enjoy catching some of the US Open. But we both especially love Labor Day because it means the summer is basically over!! That is means for celebration when you live in Phoenix!
This weekend has been really nice because it rained most of the day on Saturday and has been cool enough to get outside and enjoy things. We went to the playground, went swimming, played in the backyard and watched a couple of movies (just Mommy and Daddy!). We had a nice mix of doing things and relaxing. Here are some other highlights.
At the Children's Museum
I call this the Willy Wonka machine. You put these lightweight balls in certain spots and they get sucked through the tubes and shot out the top!
They did so many cool things that are really very simple at the Museum. This is a little sandbox on top of a lighted table.
The ball room is always a fun stop.
Braden's first attempts at crafts and painting in the videos! He sticks his tongue out just like his Mom when he's concentrating.
Playing with Grampy Ernie's toys
Grammy sent a box of Grampy Ernie's collectibles. Braden loves the truck and car and got right to playing with them.
Catching up with Kyndal.
We met up with Nicole and Kyndal on Saturday evening. The kids had fun hanging out and trying some gelato.
BBQ at the Frarer's
We went to some friends house for a BBQ on Monday. We all had a great time hanging out and swimming. Braden loved being with the older kids and has found a new girlfriend in Ellie. Karen is a photographer and took some pictures of Braden. I can't wait to get them... I'll be sure to post some!
